These three Shih Tzu were
flown to me from California. With the help of one very dedicated
lady, and because of her, these furbabies were given another chance at love.
Corky
*sweet Corky passed to
the bridge Jan.19/12*
Corky had an ulcerated eye,
which had to be removed. At first glance I thought he was a
Lhasa, we couldn't tell. He was estimated to be about 3 years old.
Once cleaned up, and vetted, this lil boy is a beautiful 11 -12
month old Shih Tzu. He is in his forever home in Seattle,
where he is learning what being a puppy is like... I have
been in constant contact with the owner, who tells me, he is a
loving and very mischievous devil...
Rocco
Rocco (or Rocky Dog) passed away July 06, after
complications with sezures...he is so missed. He was this family's adored
companion for 8.5 years.
Probably the worst I had
seen, as far as coat. He was one solid mat. Three
years old and totally blind. He is the most wonderful dog I
ever had the pleasure of knowing. His blindness never
slowed him down. A very happy, upbeat baby with a spirit
that grabs your heart... He is living in Poulsbo with a
wonderful family.
Pepper

When I got her home, and
looked at her eyes, I broke down and cried. They were in a
terrible mess. She is an older dog, I thought maybe 7, but
the new owner believes she is closer to 9-10... A sweet lil
girl, who has undergone a lot of treatments to fix her eyes.
Because of neglect she has lost most of the sight in one eye, and
has limited sight in the other... She is living in her
forever home in Seattle, where she is "Mommy's" lil
girl.
* With sadden heart, Pepper left our world to join
the bridge on May 15/02, she was loved so greatly by Rose, Rose became a dear
friend of mine when we met, Pepper was with her for 2 years and 4 months.
Pepper had a very hard life, we feel she was used repeatedly for breeding, and
than stuck in a cage, and had no life, till she was flown here, and Rose adopted
her. Rose went beyond the normal, for the utmost care for this girl,
repeated trips to the ophthalmologist, repeated trips to the vet, this lil girl
was most likely even older than we thought, but than a hard life, makes them old
before their time. We believe that she may have suffered from an auto immune
problem, and even with 24 hour vet care for days, and every resource known, and
this girl fought hard to stay with her Mom, but God decided she was needed more
elsewhere.

life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought
will remember well all you've taught.
Your Place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this...I loved you best
