Gordie is a big goof who just loves to be with you. He is happy, friendly boy who loves running in the yard and car rides and cuddling up next to you. Gordie loves to play with toys and will bounce like a puppy chasing after squeaky toys. He prefers to eat his dog food in his dog bed and will carry the dish around in his mouth until he finds the right place to dine.

Gordie belonged to a family who loved him very much but did not take very good care of him. As a result he is terrified of being groomed. The family finally turned him over to Animal Control because they could not afford to have him taken to a vet to be shaved down and said they were unable to get anyone to groom him or to groom him themselves. By this time Gordie's toe nails were growing into his pads and he could hardly walk because of the mats on his legs. He was shaved down at the shelter and turned over to rescue.

We were told that Gordie could not be groomed… but that was before he met my groomer Stacy at the Pet Parlor in Renton. Gordie went in for a bath and came out a new dog! Stacy said "Oh this dog is just being a brat!" and proceeded to give Gordie a cute haircut. Gordie did not enjoy the experience but was very proud of his new look and has done even better his second time.

Gordie is house and crate trained. He listens very well and truly wants to please his person but like many dogs who were loved but not trained, he can also be stubborn and pushy to get his way. He likes other dogs and could do well with teens. He is an exceptionally smart dog who needs an experienced owner who is willing to set some limits and do some positive training with him. The person or family willing to do a little work with this boy will be rewarded with all the love and loyalty of this beautiful boy who will keep you in stitches with his antics.

A total baby... this little guy is a follower not a leader and a lover not a fighter. He is very social and enjoys other dogs, cats and people.

Rusty is a beautiful, loving boy. He can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and loves his people. He is house trained, great on a leash, loves to play with his doggy friends and really loves to be with his person. Rusty is a bit quicker to warm up with woman but is learning to like men who are calm with him. Rusty seems to be a dog who was not taken out a lot and is doing really well going all kinds of places. He will be a great dog for an adult home or one with older teens.

"Sweet lil Belle, passed to the bridge from Cancer in March/2011"

Belle is an approximately six year old female rescued from a large puppy mill from Snohomish. In her short little life, she has never known love or kindness. Despite the hardships associated with her former life, she is a sweet and happy hearted little girl who runs and plays with pure joy. In just a few short weeks, she has made enormous progress. She is becoming very consistent with outdoor and puppy pad house training. Belle gets along very well with all other dogs and cats, follows her caregiver everywhere, if she can, but is not demanding or pushy. She will need a loving family who understands that she will need time, love, and consistency so she can become the dog she has such potential to be. If she can find a family who has the patience to build her trust with humans, she will reward you by being a loving and devoted companion.
Belle will only be rehomed to a family with another dog, it is imperative for these puppymill dogs to live with other well adjusted furkids.

Rascal is a "rascal" he is wonderful with both foster Mom and Dad, and he may do well with older children (over 12). He loves to play with other dogs, that are his size or smaller. He does not do well with bigger dogs "little man syndrome". He could do alright as an only dog, as long as he is able to keep up his socialization skills, as we do not believe anyone worked much with this boy.

He would benefit greatly from obedience classes. His foster Mom works and he has no problem staying at home, waiting for his person to come home. He is loving and playful, and giving him some structure, he will be a wonderful companion to the right home.

Fozzie is a sweet shy little boy who becomes very attached to his person. He hasn't ever lived with other dogs and at first really didn't like the other dogs but has been doing well with the others recently and is great friends with one of the toy poodles in the house. Fozzie is potty pad trained but is learning to go outside and loves to run through the yard exploring all of the bushes. He is a typical pom who is not very good at coming when called (dance away, dance away) but when is is picked up and held he soon cuddles close.

Fozzie was originally rescued from a puppy mill by an older woman who then had to move to assisted living. When she finally was unable to care for him the facility helped her contact rescue so Fozzie would be safe. Fozzie is in excellent health except that he has lost all of his teeth-first all of his front teeth after he left the puppy mill and then when he recently saw our vet he lost his molars. Fozzie is very happy with this as he loves his canned food and figures out how to eat and treat that is tasty. Fozzie will make a wonderful pet for anyone who wants a loyal loving boy. He kept his mom constant company on her bed and on her lap and would love to have another mom (or Dad) to be with.

Theo is a very affectionate, happy boy. He loves to be with his person-walking, car rides, gardening-it's all good to him. Theo is house-trained, leash trained and knows basic commands. He insists on sleeping in bed with you and is happiest on your lap though he will consent to sit next to you as long as it is close.
Theo lost his home when his elderly owner could not care for him. Theo is definitely most comfortable with woman, though he will get used to men if given time. He is OK with other dogs his size or smaller but is not fond of bigger dogs. Theo will only go to an adult home though old teens might be Ok.
Theo is quite a presence and is just looking for the right owner to adore.

Oh my what a wonderful lil girl. She loves to go on walks, she sometimes pulls, but easily gets corrected. She adores playing with other doggies. She loves playing with toys, she loves people. She is housetrained.

When she is not playing with doggies or toys, you will find her curled up by your feet, and when she looks at you with her liquid brown eyes, she steals your heart.

Aidan is a sweet wonderful boy who is looking for a forever home. Aidan loves to play both with people and with other dogs. He is house trained, has great house manners and is a great cuddler. He also loves to walk or run (one of his previous owners took Aidan on 2 mile runs daily), but is very calm and quiet in the house.

Though Aidan has been passed from family to family both around the military base and on Craig's list, he remains a loving dog who just seem to be looking for somewhere to belong. He is a loving calm sweetheart who certainly deserves to settle in with a family forever and the family who chooses to commit to this boy will be very lucky to get him.
