(Adopted April 26/03)
Binx
Schnauzer/Yorkie
Male/neutered/shots current
3 years old
16 lbs...
*sweet Binx has crossed to the bridge
Feb/2013*
When you left me at the shelter, why did you not tell them I was sick? Did
you not care just a little bit, I guess I was not important, and sent me there
to die? And I would have died, except the nice shelter worker, Kim, came to see me,
she really loves us little furbabies, I was laying in pain, blood dripping from
my penis. Kim was so upset, the vet had left, it was Saturday night, no medical
help till Monday, I won't make it till then, she called someone, I did not know
who, but heard a sigh of relief, she whisked me to animal emergency...another
nice lady by the name of Jill from Furbaby Rescue met me there, a cathedra
was inserted, tests and x-rays...I had stones blocking my uretha..I could not
pee, I could die, but they stabilized me, and the next day I was whisked to
Kulshan Vet. Hospital, where they operated and took care of me.... I am the
cutest, happiest, playful boy, and finally no pain...the stone is believed to be
calcium (still waiting for results) so I can be on a good quality dog food diet,
but sorry don't tempt me with "Dairy Queen" I am not allowed to have
that any more...
I am playful, happy, easy going...I do bark at strangers, but wag my tail the
whole time...I love to cuddle, I am a doll, really I am, so now please tell me,
why I wasn't loved enough, maybe my family did not have money to care for me,
but why did they not tell people, so I might have received help sooner...I don't
understand...my foster Mommy adores me, she said I cost lots of money, over $700
to make me better, but she told me I'm a precious life with years ahead...
Binx has a great Mom, a wonderful lil Schnauzer sister, and a whole wonderful
life ahead of him, now residing in Seattle, WA
(Adopted May 4/03)
Viny & Peach
Maltese
Male & Female
11 lbs & 7 lbs
Both altered/shots current
Another wonderful pair of dogs, that need to be rehomed together. Both of
these babies are very friendly, with Viny being the most outgoing, Peach can be
a bit more reserved, but still very friendly, she was hit by a car when she was
a pup, so at times, runs and picks up that leg, but it does not slow either of
them down, for good old dog playing..Viny is always wanting to be in your lap,
and Peach is happy being by your lap, and on your bed...they get along well with
other dogs, men, women, kids...very social lil babies...if you are working home,
than they will keep each other company, if you are stay at home, than you will
always have their company, as they insist upon it...
And folks, I am asked this always about splitting dogs up, the answer is NO...so
don't waste time asking....
Now in a great home with a loving Dad, residing in Bothell, WA
(Adopted May 19/03)
Heidi
Miniature Dachshund
Female/spayed/shots current
8 years old
Heidi is a real doll. House trained, friendly, raised with cats and is Ok with kids. She is very devoted to her family; loves to give kisses and to sleep under the covers cuddled up against you at night. when you come home she greets you with her stuffed toy and her little dance. She is doing very well in foster care; gets along well with my other dogs. Doesn't play with them a lot but seems to enjoy running through the house and "hanging out" with them. Heidi is unusually quiet for a doxie girl; almost no barking. She loves to ride in the car.; in fact she loves to do anything you do.
Until last August Heidi was an adored baby. At that time she lost her Mom to cancer. She stayed in the family home with Dad but she missed her Mom so much that she developed separation anxiety. She reportedly chewed up some carpet on the stairs etc. Dad began having to crate her while he was gone. Living in a crate was no life for this wonderful little furbaby.
Though
we have seen only one incident of separation anxiety since she has come
into foster care (when she was left in a car by herself for over an hour),
Heidi will only go to a home who is not only able to be with her but also
one who understands and is able to work with her separation anxiety. This
very special little girl needs someone who can take her in and be her
security. In return she will burrow right into your heart.
Now living a great new life, with other doxies to play with, and great
family...residing in Nanaimo, B.C. Canada
(Adopted May 24/03)
Charlie
Miniature Poodle
Male neutered/shots current
App. 1 year old
13 lbs
I was left tied up
to a post with no food, no water and a bad hair cut. Luckily my foster mom found
me and took me home. She remedied the food and water problem, but the hair will
take awhile. I don't have a docked tail but I's still all poodle.
I was not treated very well and I am really scared of everything.
But my foster mom says I am getting better all the time. I am fixed now and have
had my shots and micro chip. I like to ride in cars, I just learned how to play
with stuffed toys, I am really good around other dogs and cats. I am even
improving on my potty training. I have not had any accidents for two days!! I
still don't walk on a leash too well, but mom is practicing with me twice a day.
It's because I like to run circles around her and the other day she opened the
garage door too soon and I thought I show her how I
can dash out. I made her chase me for a while, but when she stopped and walked
away I knew I better come along or no dinner. I love to be held and give you big
hugs. I love to occupy your bed too and keep you warm, but I will sleep in my
crate if you prefer. Mom says I am the quietest dog ever and she wonders
if I even have a voice or if it was removed. I am going to keep her guessing for
a while. I am looking for someone to love me and whom I may love too. Are you
out there?
Oh yes, the family was out there, wonderful new Mom and Dad, gentle teenage boy,
who adore dear Charlie, residing in Kent, WA
