Romie
Corgi (Pembroke)
Female/spayed/shots current
9 years old
Hi, my
name is Romie. I’m a Pembroke Welsh Corgi; you know like the Queen has.
The
last two families I lived with didn’t understand herding dogs. They had small
children that ran and squealed it was fun chasing them and nipping at their
heels. I got in trouble was kept tied up. Their mom’s took me to the Human
society for nipping them.
My new
foster mom understands herding dogs; she has Aussies.
I get
to run and play chase with them.
I’m
9yrs old and I’m looking for a home without children, cats or dogs. Someone who will take me
for walks and will spend lots of time with me.
I’m
in good health, up to date on my shots, and spayed. I don’t have anything to
pack, so I’m ready to go!
Great home in Seattle, WA

Buddy
Chihuahua
Male neutered/shots current
3 years old
5 lbs
Hi. My name is Buddy and as you can see I am quite a handsome fellow. I like people a lot once I get to know them but am a bit shy and scared when I first meet them. I like to play with squeekies especially the one called Bobo from the Petsmart commercial. I also like the hooves that you can get at the pet shop.
I am small but I like to make others think I am big so I will bark at strange noises and sights.
I love to sleep in the big bed with the people and be really close to them. Otherwise I will curl up under the covers by myself and sleep soundly. I like to be outside if the people are outside. Sometimes I did in a hole someone else has dug.
I am not a fussy eater and will eat almost any treat I'm given, including fresh vegetables. I am very food motivated. I went to a training class and learned a lot about proper behavior with other dogs. I got treats when I behaved well. Sometimes I am afraid the other dogs are going to take my toys or my food and I will warn them to stay away. I can really scare them so I think it works. Sometimes it works too well and I am scolded for inappropriate behavior.
I have not been on walks very much as my original people did not take me on walks so I prefer not to go. I do like to run in the yard tho and have a great time in the "forest", sniffing and hunting.
I probably would do best in a home without any other dogs or cats or with pets who did not care when I was bossy. I would be better off without too much commotion in the home, maybe a quieter home with adults or older kids.
I am quite playful and would love to have a permanent home where someone would watch or play with me and buy me new toys and teach me new tricks as I am quite smart and quick to learn.
Thanks
Bud
This little guy is all about being a part of the family- but he takes a while to get there. Buddy has fear of new people and needs to be understood about that. When he loves you he will love you forever, but it just takes some time.
Buddy was brought to Furbaby Rescue after his family was put into a nursing home. His fear of new people probably simply comes from not being exposed to many when he was younger...
Super home, for Buddy, residing in Snohomish, WA
(Adopted Sept.13/08)
Turner
Pomeranian
Male/neutered/shots current
App. 18 months old
12 lbs
Lil Turner was a stray, so we do not know his story. He was a mess, as you
can see his once beautiful coat had to be hacked off...but it will grow back.
Turner took a little time to come out of his shell, but he is now showing what a
great lil Pom he is. He loves all other dogs, and gets along wonderfully
with all resident dogs. Turner MUST have a doggie friend who will let him
lay next to him. We wonder if somehow he got separated from another
buddy...we can only guess.
He would love to be your lap buddy, and has no problem sharing his person with
another doggie. He is wonderful meeting new people. Potty training
is going well...he also loves to kick back, and enjoys being outside on
beautiful days.
He would do best with a secure yard, as he does like to go and visit the
neighborhood.
He hopes to have a new forever home soon, with a doggie friend.
This lil imp got
fabulous and devoted parents, residing in Seattle, WA
(Adopted Sept. 14/08)
Baby Gal
Feist (type of Toy Fox Terrier)
Female/spayed/shots/dental
12 lbs
11 years young
Baby Gal lost her home, because her Daddy died, and Mom has gone into assisted
living. Originally Baby was bought in Texas, at 6 weeks old. A Feist
is a hunting dog, predominately in the south. Baby has never hunted,
unless you call hunting for her treats:-)
Baby was adopted in March/08, and again she lost her home, cause her Mom died
from heart failure, so this endearing lil one needs a home once again.
BG is a quiet little girl. She has not barked since I have had her but she did whimper a little when riding in her crate in the car. She does settle easily. She feels safe in her crate though and happily sleeps in there with the door open at night.
She eats very well and will dance on her hind legs for a cookie. She is very food oriented. Baby Gal is very shy, she loves her head and ears scratched. She got her teeth cleaned and they were quite a mess but now she has a clean bill of health and is ready for her new retirement home. She knows what a doggie door is for although she is better about going out than coming in.... she will wait to have the door opened for her to get back in. She is living peacefully with the resident dogs, all older, but does not interact with them. She seems to be housebroken.
She sleeps either in her crate or in a doggie bed on the
floor. . She is a sweet quiet little dog.
Baby Gal is now the constant companion, residing in assisted living in
Everett, WA
(Adopted Sept. 18/08)
Charlie-Brown
Pomeranian/Lhasa Apso
Male/neutered/shots current
3 years old
18 lbs
Charlie Brown is one of the most outgoing dogs the foster home has ever met, he
loves to meet new people. Charlie is great with other dogs. He would
love to have a doggie friend if possible. He would be a great lil fellow
who would love to tag along with you to work.
He is such a loyal doggie, he would rather have his person then a treat.
He also would love to have someone home a lot. He is very smart and
learning quickly about where he is to potty, he probably would do even better if
he had a doggie door. He also loves to lay outside, kick back and
daydream. The foster home finds him to be perfect, and is sure he will
make anyone smile who meets him.
CB is doing fabulous in his new home in Mission, B.C. Canada

Melody
Wire-haired Dachshund
Female/spayed/shots current
11 months old
(Adopted Sept.21/08)
Junior
Corgi/dachshund
Male/neutered/shots current
30 lbs
App. 3 years old
Junior
is a lover boy who just wants to be with you. He loves to cuddle up next to you
on the couch and to curl up under the covers on the bed. Junior does Ok with
other dogs but can sometimes be bullied by more dominant dogs. Junior has
inherited the stubbornness of both of his breeds and definitely has a mind of
his own. He loves riding in the car and walks, though he does pull a bit on the
leash. He joyfully runs through the house with his squeaky toys (before he tears
them to bits) and spends long hours chewing on his bones.
Junior
would like a home with where he can spend lots of time with his person. He
probably do OK with a teen in the home but not with younger children as he is a
bit timid and doesn’t like a lot of busyness around him. If you are the right
home for this boy he will follow you everywhere and give you all the love and
loyalty in his big heart.
He is so adored in his new home, residing in Bothell, WA
(Adopted Sept.23/08)
Bridgett
Maltese/Poodle
Female/spayed
4 years old
13 lbs
I lost my Mom and Dad when they divorced recently and would like to find a new
home where I am loved. I am very loving and affectionate. I enjoy
exercise, toys and playing with other dogs. As you can see from my picture
I am soft and cuddly and LOVE it when someone takes the time to play ball with
me.
I have been to obedience training and would love to please my new family with my
skills. I love being the center of attention and would love to have a stay
at home Mommy and/or Daddy to spend the rest of my life with. If I sound
like your perfect lil girl (heck sometimes I am) please contact my Godmother, so
we can start making memories now.
Happily residing in Port Townsend, WA with lil Ziggy.
(Adopted Sept.23/08)
Penny
Schnauzer Mix
Female/spayed/shots current
2-3 years old
33 lbs
Penny
was a bit shy in the shelter but quickly warmed up and is a real love bug. She
loves attention and would really like to be a lap dog even though she is a bit
big for laps. She gets along well with other dogs. Loves to play with toys and
go for car rides. She does OK on the leash and is very friendly when she meets
new people.
This
little love is eager to please and would do very well with a family who was
willing to do a bit of training with her. Since she was a stray we have no idea
how she does around cats; she loves other dogs and would do fine with older
children. She is just learning not to jump up on people so would not be good
with children under 10. She appears to be house trained and listens very well
when she is called or told off, etc. She definitely will need to go to a home
with a fenced yard and would do better with a family with some dog experience.
Penny
would be a great dog for an active family or single person. She is just waiting
for the right place to belong.
Happily residing in Poulsbo, WA

Eddie
Cocker Spaniel
Male/neutered/shots current
18 months old
26 lbs
This great lil boy, found a wonderful home, residing in Bellingham, WA
(Adopted Oct.11/08)
Kimmy (nka Emmy)
Cairn/Pomeranian
Female/spayed/shots current
App. 2-3 years old
14 lbs
Oh my what a great little girl. Kim is outgoing, tenacious, full of
herself, loves to play with you. She likes to follow you everywhere.
She is housetrained...loves to give kisses...loves to sleep beside you.
She gets along very well with other dogs, but she is a terrier, and she will not
put up with nonsense. She loves to chew on hoofs, play with toys (rather
play with you though)
She can be a bit of a watchdog (comes with the breed)...just a nice lil one.
When Kimmy came into rescue, she had her full coat, unfortunately the groomer
felt it was necessary to cut her down, she had some hot spots, from flea bites,
and her once gorgeous coat was a mess...so time to start over, good food, flea
control, and it will grow out, to have that same wild look that looks so
adorable...see below, before she was cut down.
This lucky girl has a fabulous new Daddy, residing in Victoria, B.C. Canada
(Adopted Oct. 18/08)
Lover Boy (nka Cody)
Pomeranian
Male/neutered/shots current
2 years old
5 lbs
*Cody passed away from a Grand Mal
seizure, he was so adored Mar.22/15*
Lover Boy is a very, very sweet tiny little man that is in need of a new forever loving home. His previous owners could no longer care for him so they took him to the shelter. Poor little Lovey is a very shy little one and he was very frightened there. He is now doing wonderful in our home and warms up quickly once he gets to know you. He is the happiest when he can be right with his human and just loves to be carried everywhere with you. Or, he will be right on your heals as you move about the house. He does have a little bit of separation anxiety so will do best in a home with someone home most of the time, or he will benefit from another canine companion of similar size (tiny like him) and breed to keep him company. Lovey gets along great with my dogs, walks well on a leash and travels in the car just fine. He loves to play with my tiny dogs, give kisses and cuddle, cuddle, cuddle! We are working on housebreaking and he will use potty pads. Lovey's name fits him VERY well and I think he is the sweetest Pom I have ever met!
