Gypsy (Rose
Lee)
Toy Fox Terrier
Female/spayed/shots current
11-12 months old
11 lbs
When you raise your hand, please do it with love, never touch me, or scold me in
anger, I have already suffered, I gave birth to beautiful puppies, living in a
TV box, when kind hands held me, I was afraid, I was starving for food and love,
I ate two bowls of food and three bowls of water, to replenish my body when I
was rescued, my babies had taken everything I had, finally I was full, and now I
ache to be loved, if you approach me too fast, I will cower, hands have hurt me,
but the hands and arms I find now, caress me in love, and in turn, I will cuddle
so deeply in you, I will put my paws on you, and beg for love, I will cover you
in kisses, I am a kind and spirited girl..but life has not been kind to me, but
I promise if you show me love, promise not to hurt me again, I will be your
devoted companion, I love to play with other dogs, finally I do not have to eat
so much, because food and cool water is now always available. I promise I will
be an astounding companion, and fill your heart with love, as long as you fill
mine...

Mugsy
Cockapoo
Male/neutered/shots current
App. 4 years old
14 lbs
Mugsy is a sweet little dog, a real cuddlier who only wants to be with his
people all the time. He was friendly to everyone at the shelter and loves
to meet new people. He loves to curl up on your lap, in your bed or even
behind you in your chair. He loves to suck on his squeaky toys and is
always ready to go for a car ride. In foster care at first Mugsy was shy
with the other dogs but now he has 2 pals that he especially likes and will even
run through the house playing with them. He walks well on a leash, is
housetrained and is in excellent health.
Mugsy lost his home when the family had a new baby, he is really anxious to find
a "forever" family. Mugsy can be protective of his yard and
home, but if he is picked up or put away until guests settle he does very
well. Mugsy would do best in a home with someone around a lot, and he will
not be placed with children or in a very busy home.
Mugsy, hit the jackpot, he is so adored by two very very special people, living
the great life in Seattle, WA
(Adopted Oct.13/04)
Colton
Lowchen
Male/neutered/shots current

App. 5-6 years old
This sweet boy, is now living a wonderful life in Victoria, B. C. Canada
(Adopted Oct. 12/04)
Joe
Miniature Pinscher
Male/neutered/shots current
1 year 9 months old
13 1/2 inches tall, weighs 12 lbs
Joe should gain a pound or two to fill out. Joe has been with one family
his whole life. He was a good puppy but always seemed a little nervous
round the young children. As the children became bigger and more active,
Joe became aggressive to them and to their friends that would come over for play dates.
Joe went to stay at Grandpa and Grandma's house while his family was
moving. Joe thrived in the quieter environment. He loved being the
center of attention, napping in the sunshine, taking walks and spending night
time on a lap (under the blanket of course). It became apparent that Joe
wanted a less busy household to call his own.
Typical of the breed, Joe can be somewhat exclusive with his owners. He is
not fond of strangers coming into his house. He will settle down after
getting to know the new person but his new owner will need to work with him on
this. Joe has done very well with the household dogs and didn't attempt to
chase any of the cats. He has shown no food aggression and slept in his
crate without making a sound! He is more than happy to work for treats!
Joe is now living in Abbotsford, B.C. with a lovely lady and her other adored
furbabies...thank you for providing Joe with such a wonderful home.
(Adopted Oct.16/04)
Duffy
Scottish Terrier
Male/neutered/shots current
6 years old
Hi, my name is Duffy, and I am a proud Scottie...I get along wonderfully with my
foster parents resident dogs, consisting of Lhasas and Beagles, one of their
Lhasa's by the name of Bailey, kind of told me, where my place in the pack was, so
I agreed :-)
I am a wonderful dog, and if you know, understand and love Scotties, you will
love me...
Duffy has a wonderful home, residing in Seattle, WA
*Darling Willie had a stroke on Nov.14/04, his health declined rapidly, where he
no longer had any quality of life, his foster Mom, could not watch him suffer,
and realized it was time for this baby to cross the bridge...now your sight will
be restored, and you can run and play once again...goodbye dear friend"
Willie
Miniature Pinscher
What kind of person would turn their older dog out on the streets to fend for
themselves??? Willie was found wandering the cold, wet streets. Animal
control officers picked him up and took him to the shelter. Willie waited
and waited for his family to come for him but it became obvious that his family
had turned their back on him. So much for all the loyalty and love Willie
gave over the years.
Willie is a very sweet, quiet, loving min pin. The vet believes him to be
12. He is 10 inches tall and weighs 8 lbs. Despite his limited
vision, he has mastered the doggy door and holds his own with the other minpins.
He appears to have spent a lot of time outside. In foster care he has
discovered the pleasure of warm blankets and soft pillow. His favorite
hobbies are snuggling, sleeping and eating. Willie's fondest wish is to
find a home for the holidays. He will repay your kindness by being by your
side whether you are watching TV, reading a book or taking short walks through
the neighborhood. Willie enjoys car rides as long as he is allowed to sit
on your lap.
(Adopted Oct. 26/04)
Joey
Miniature Poodle
Male/neutered/shots current
3 years old
20 lbs
Joey is a spunky boy. He is perfectly housebroken and has very nice
manners. He has been to obedience and will sit for a cookie or to be
leashed. Just ask him and he will sit. He appears to be fine with
people of all ages, as long as he has a chance to acquaint himself. He
gets along with all the small dogs in foster care. I think he might chase
cats but can't say for sure as he wanted to chase a cat outside. Joey
comes with his own bed on which he sleeps on the floor, a jacket and some toys
also a crate with a bed. He is a good eater, has lots of fun energy but
walks well on the leash. Joey loves to watch TV - sometimes he wants to
interact with the TV personalities and has been known to turn the set off!
My only concern would be he sometimes hears "something" (he has
amazing hearing) and will bark! I don't think he would fit into apartment living
for that reason only. He would not mind having a playmate but seems to be
content just to watch the tube with his person too. I would like to see
him shomewhere where he could run free a little, maybe doggie daycare or a home
with active people to go walking or jogging. He is a happy and very sweet
boy.
Joey's picture does not do him justice, he is by far one of the most stunning
poodles that I have meet...a chocolate/silver color, he is top of the height for
a mini...he is absolutely drop dead gorgeous...
Joey is now adored by a wonderful couple, who are enjoying this boy and loving
him more everyday..he has brought great joy into their home..
(Adopted Oct. 24/04)
Natas
Rat Terrier
Male/neutered/shots current
2 years old
Natas is a fabulous boy, he loves everyone...Natas had a good home, but life
changed and with the work schedule's Natas became unhappy...he does not like
being left alone...he would love the loving companionship of his person, and
while gone, he should be crated...this is a great loving boy, full of spirit and
love...
Natty is so loved by his new home...wonderful people...
(Adopted Oct.19/04)
Brody
Maltese
Male/neutered/shots current
App 7-9 years old
6 lbs
*Darling Brody passed to the bridge in
Sept/07, his Mom misses him terribly*
Approximately 1.5 years ago, a person was riding their horse on a trail, and
just when the horse was going to step, the person noticed that a deposit made
from another animal, was moving, and rolling in the "dung" was this
tiny (but certainly not white dog). He was a mess, his home was never
found. This baby was rehomed a couple of times, but the owners could not
stand the smell of his breath, and would not get his much needed dental
done. Finally he arrived in my rescue, immediately taken to the vet, this
poor baby lost all his teeth expect for three, the pain and misery this boy has
been in for such a long time is unforgivable. He is now recuperating and
doing wonderfully, he also had his neutering done at the same time. To
know Brody, is to want to take care of him, he crawls deeply into your heart,
his shyness endears you to him, once he knows you, he clings to you, only asking
to be loved. Originally the vet thought him to be close to nine, but his
eyes are bright, his coat is in good condition, and does not act like a older
dog...but with his teeth so bad, sometimes age is hard to determine, but I do
not believe him older than 7. If you want a devoted lap companion, meet
Brody, he will be shy at first, but he will brighten your heart to have such an
endearing baby share your life..
Thank you Sheila, for giving Brody such a wonderful home, residing in Moses
Lake, WA
(Adopted Oct. 30/04)
Kelley
Terrier Mix
8-9 years old?
Female/spayed/shots current
14 lbs, 11" tall
Kelly is a gentle, easy going gal. She is intelligent, loving and has
excellent manners with people and with other dogs. She would love a
comfortable, quiet adult home to live in with someone who needs a quiet friend
to cuddle. She has a good appetite so care will have to be taken that she
doesn't enjoy too much food! Fine walking on a leash, she is also learning
the doggy door to take herself in and out with almost no mistakes. What a
good girl!
Kelley loves to be petted and given attention, she gently pats your knee with a
paw to ask for more...a wonderful calm dog that deserves to snuggle and snooze
with lots of love in her golden years.
Kelly is loved by a wonderful older woman and her extended family...
(Adopted Oct./04)

Mini Pearl
Shiba Inu X
Female/spayed/shots current
App. 13" tall 15 lbs
App.1- 2 years old
Mini is a sweet mischievous girl with an infectious happy spirit. She
loves her toys and really needs another dog to play with. Mini loves big
dogs but really doesn't care what size they are. She has gotten every dog
in my house to play and is never happier than when she is lying on the floor
wrestling with a doggy friend or chasing around and playing tug-of-war.
Mini is very shy with people when she first meets them but once she gets to know
you she comes running up to get her share of the attention. She loves to
run in the yard, play fetch, and get belly rubs. Mini is just learning to
come for treats. She is still such a puppy that she likes to find things
to chew on (can we say puppy proofing?) and she is still working on
housetraining. Mini has had some crate training but would probably do best
with someone who had some time at home to work with her. If you are
looking for a joyous spirit to share your life and are willing to do a little
work on the basics, Mini Pearl will be an incredible addition to your life.
Mini has a wonderful home, who cannot believe how special she is:-)
(Adopted Nov.24/04)
Paris
Tea Cup Chihuahua
Female/spayed/shots current
14 weeks old
1.2 lbs
Now can you believe this, I was bought over the internet from "some"
breeder in Nebraska (and boy was I expensive) and flown to the NW...my owners
had me for a week, and decided their 2 year old toddler was too rough with
me...(I really fail to understand people) I weigh 1 lb (yes 1 lb)..when I grow
up, maybe I will be 3 lbs...maybe I will get really big and hit 4 lbs...
I am adorable, so very tiny, but have a big spirit, I love to romp with the
"big dogs" well anything is big to me...you have to watch where you
walk, and be careful...I just a tiny tiny girl...my foster Mom held her breath
while I got spayed (cause she won't adopt me, unless I was) and I pulled through
just great...I will need more puppy shots, and rabies when older...but I am
ready now to go to an ADULT only home, and sorry not to a home with elderly
people, I am too tiny, and one step I could get hurt..
Paris has a wonderful home, in Vancouver, B.C. with a knowledgeable Chi person,
who will spoil this little girl terribly...
(ADOPTED Dec. 9/04)

(Adopted)
Isabella
Pomeranian
Female/spayed/shots current
App. 8 months old
10 lbs
Are you looking for something special: meet Isabella "aka The
Diva". Isabella is a very friendly, loving little gal, she thrives on
attention and will stand on her hind legs and wave her front feet. This
little gal has the attitude of a big movie star and struts her stuff every
chance she gets. In true Diva style, she likes to be the center of
attention. She has done well with the foster family dogs and didn't bother
the cats. She is working on housetraining and leash manners. Hs
passed the food test and is good about giving her chewies up (however she does
get a little cranky when a fellow dog walks by her treats)
Within hours of being in foster care, she was giving lots of kisses...this girl
would do fine in a home with older children..
Isabella, is now living in Oregon with another Pom, and a couple who adore her..
